Children are often fascinated by the denizens of the deep. Getting up close and meeting them on their own territory through a dive is an experience like no other.
Scuba diving offers countless benefits for children. It takes a tremendous amount of dedication to learn the theory syllabus and practise dive skills until they are at a required level. In the process, it builds confidence, encourages teamwork, provides a sense of achievement, and most importantly develops a deep respect for the marine environment.
Observing marine life is often awe-inspiring. From diving with whale sharks in the Maldives to swimming with marine iguanas in the Galapagos, the possibilities of the incredible sea creatures they will encounter are endless.
At the age of eight, children can complete the PADI Bubblemaker course where they learn what it feels like to breathe underwater in the confines of a pool. This prepares them for there PADI Junior Open Water qualification which they are eligible to apply for when they are ten years old.
Watching your children develop a passion is a joy in itself, but seeing them take their first breaths underwater is priceless!
